Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

Kasama focuses on facilitating social gatherings for children, their families, and caregivers. We aim to build a safe and welcoming village of supportive families where staff and members can play and learn together. We expect our staff, members, volunteers, and vendors to act with responsibility and integrity during their time together at events.

We ask all members to agree to the following Code of Conduct:

Watch your children

Kasama is not a childcare provider. Parents are responsible for their children at every event at all times.

Be kind and respectful

Treat others with kindness and respect. Refrain from touching or verbally reprimanding a child from another family.

Model Positive Conduct

Kids often learn by observing. Model positive behavior that you'd wish them to emulate.

Unacceptable Behavior

Harassment in any form is strictly prohibited. Harassment includes inappropriate conduct, comment, display, action, or gesture based on another person’s sex, color, race, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and any other protected characteristic.

All members must comply with safety policies and staff instructions. We expect members to respect other members and Kasama staff. Kasama will not tolerate inappropriate behavior or abusive, demeaning, foul, or harassing language.

Kasama reserves the right to take any necessary and appropriate action against a member who engages in any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior in violation of this policy. Failure to comply with these policies may result in immediate removal from an event and/or revocation of membership without refund.

Any member who believes they experienced or witnessed harassment or other inappropriate behavior in violation of this policy should promptly report the incident.
